Final-Stained Glass Project

Students,
This is it!  The last project!  You must design a theme for a stain glass window and see it through fully realized.  Techniques were discussed in class; I'm looking for good ideas and innovative design. You should have a central focal point and secondary images in separate cells surrounding that focal point.  The more you use projects themes from the whole semester the better, i.e. color scheme, healing brush, filter, silhouette, collage.
This project is weighted, to it will be worth three times more than a normal project.

Good luck, and good night!

50's Horror Spoof

Greetings my purveyors of digital wonder,
Your next assignment is a 1950's Horror Movie spoof.  I want you to design a poster in the familiar style of the 50's poster, but with an ironic contemporary take.  Make sure your pictures you choose inform your design and theme.  Below are some classic examples, but I encourage you to do further research.
Good night and good luck!

Graffiti Project

Graffiti Tag Project

Greetings my young ones,
The next project is to design and color your own personal tag.

NOTE: PROFESSOR DAVID MARCET IS IN NO WAY CONDONING HIS STUDENTS  DEFACING PUBLIC WALLS WITH GRAFFITI!

OK, back to the assignment.  I would like you to spend a considerable amount of time with a good old fashioned pencil and paper and design your tag.  Your tag should somehow refer to your name or nick name or whatever.  After you have created a good and finished line drawing, we are going to scan the drawing and color it in Photoshop.
Go back and review your color schemes, and do a fair amount of research on tags you like and different styles.

Good luck!!!

Collage Project

To my wildly creative computer art students,
Below are some incredibly random images.  You must choose at least five of the images and put them together into a cohesive collage that has some sort of narrative.  In addition to these images, you may use the brush tool, shape tool, and/or text tool.  You may also add just one addition image of your own choosing if it will help drive your narrative.
I have also post some examples of collages below.

Good luck!!!

Mock "Have you seen..." Poster

My loyal students,
This is a project that is really just to have some fun with design.  I want you to do a "mock flyer" for something that you have lost and post in the traditional manner.  It should be clever and somewhat off the wall like the posters below.  I also want it in the format that has removable tags on the bottom of the page.
Please have fun with this, and if I don't laugh when I read I'll immediately take points off!

Good luck!

Healing Brush Assignment

Dear most creative ones,

Our next assignment is working with the Healing Brush tool in Photoshop.  First you will need to remove the crack from the wall and then remove the graffiti from the poor vandalized polar bears.  We'll discuss the best way of going about do so in class, but remember the key to the healing brush is variety of textures.

Good luck!

Greetings my fearless Computer Artists!
Our next project you will be channeling your inner cubist because you will be doing a digital copy of one of the two images below by Pablo Picasso.
I would like to see your resourcefulness with how you choose to go about reproducing this work.

Good Luck!
